The Client

Over the past four decades, our client has cemented a strong presence in the UK, currently employing over 700 professionals across three sites: Oxford (Milton Park), Slough, and Wrexham.

The Wrexham site in the UK is a neuroscience centre of excellence, responsible for developing and manufacturing neurotoxin products.

A biologics centre of excellence, the Wrexham site houses a unique team of scientists focused on developing a range of scientifically-advanced, high-quality processes and methodologies required for the manufacture and supply of clinical products across the client’s Biologics portfolio.

The Challenge

The existing site wide emergency lighting installation system was circa 20 years + old and the overall performance of the system was becoming expensive to manage and maintain, with regular physical checks required to ensure continued compliance with legislation and regulations. Parts of the system were becoming difficult to maintain due to equipment obsolescence and the failure rate of parts vital to the integrity of this safety system were on the increase.

The Solution

The Rosebery Group were appointed by the client to conduct a site wide review into the performance of the system and to propose an alternative solution that would

Lighting Management & Emergency Monitoring SmartScan is a revolutionary wireless lighting management system that allows users to monitor their energy performance data and complete operational information for all SmartScan standard and emergency luminaires. Information is displayed on the SmartScan website which can be accessed from anywhere using a computer, laptop, tablet or smart-phone. The clear graphical user interface provides an overview of the whole site, through to the performance and operation of an individual luminaire

Compatible SmartScan Internal, SmartScan External and SmartScan Emergency luminaires wirelessly communicate with each other and the Gateway through the mesh network. The Gateway transmits energy performance and status reports for both standard and emergency luminaires to the SmartScan web server. Users employ their chosen device to view system information.
